I know I won't be alone in missing terribly the Italian students from L'Aquila who have graced our campus over the last year. Speaking personally, they were all wonderful to have in my classes, full of enthusiasm, good cheer, and curiosity. One student, Elisa Mancini, made a short cartoon for her animation class -- it tells the story of her journey to Sierra Nevada College, after the April 2009 earthquake in L'Aquila destroyed the university there.
